I am incredibly passionate about the power of stories and have loved writing from a young age. I began truly developing my craft in 2016 and since then I have had a range of short fiction, poetry and creative non-fiction featured by publications such as Popshot Magazine and 404 Ink. I am now focused on writing novels for children and young adults.
My writing has been featured on the Dear Damsels podcast, as well as being selected from the University of Lancaster’s Translating Pain project to be read and discussed on the Airing Pain podcast in 2019.
In 2020, I was selected to participate in a digital retreat for D/deaf and disabled writers, led by Jamie Hale and Spread the Word. I completed my Master’s in Creative Writing at the University of Edinburgh, graduating in 2023. In 2024, I was selected as a Virtual Writer in Residence for Melbourne City of Literature, where I partnered with a network of libraries to lead community workshops. In 2025, I won a Scottish Book Trust New Writers Award for Young Adult fiction; through the award I benefited from training and mentoring, with an extract of my project published in the New Writing Sampler which launched at an end of award year showcase.
In 2026, I was commissioned to write and narrate an audio story for 5-7 year olds by BBC Scotland.
I now teach creative writing to both children and adults, and offer mentoring and editorial services.
