As a writer and teacher, I love working with other writers to help them to develop both their writing and their confidence in their practice. Weaving together my knowledge from my Master’s and my practical experience of writing across a range of mediums – from poetry and creative non-fiction to short stories and novels – I can help you to figure out your next writing steps.
Mentoring
I offer 1-1 mentoring sessions for a flat fee of £75 per session. This includes: reading up to 3,000 words, writing detailed feedback and a one hour meeting (online) to discuss both your words and your writing goals. Mentoring can also be helpful if you’re feeling stuck and want someone to bounce ideas off of – I’m happy to discuss how we might structure mentoring to focus on developing ideas and craft. If cost is a concern, I am able to offer mentoring at a reduced rate of £50 per session. There is no need to provide proof – just let me know you need the lower fee when you get in touch.
Editorial Services
If you would benefit from detailed written feedback, without mentoring, I am able to help with this as well. I can work with you on both short extracts and full manuscripts, depending on your needs.
To receive a written feedback report on up to 3,000 words: £25.
To receive a written feedback report on a novel up to 60,000 words: £500 (with a £10 fee added for each additional 3,000 words for longer texts). I am happy to discuss payment by instalment to make this more accessible, and can add a 1 hour 1-1 feedback session (online) for an additional £50.
